Engenuity Systems, one of the
worlds largest distributor of networked control products and related
peripherals for the industrial control market and building automation industry
(HVAC and energy management, among others), recently announced its restructured
website at 2008 AHR Expo.
The website was redesigned
to be used as an industry resource, leveraging Engenuitys vast data collection
and industry work experience. Information-rich features include application
articles, white papers, datasheets and live chat support on all the products
Engenuity supports, including LonWorks, BACnet, wireless and other network
control protocols. A newly implemented knowledge base allows customers to
search by title, problem description, keyword, or article ID. Downloading
specs, white papers, data sheets, or skimming the FAQs are a few clicks or a
simple search away to finding a relevant solution. Users will soon be able to create support tickets as
well as search closed support tickets to find similar application solutions. According to the
companys press release, customers can save time by storing Bill of Materials
to reorder or use as reference for future projects.
We
wanted to give our customers a one-stop resolution and research resource. As a
neutral supplier of information we satisfy a niche that is difficult for
other distributors to address, stated Tracy Markie, President of Engenuity. Our goal is to update the knowledgebase continuously, providing access
to our customers on industry or technology intelligence that may affect their
business, Mr. Markie concluded.
