Light+Building, the International
Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology, will be held at an almost fully
booked out Exhibition Centre (230,000 gross square metres) in Frankfurt am Main
from 6 to 11 April 2008. In
18 exhibition halls, over 2,100 exhibitors, including all national and
international market leaders, will show
innovations and numerous energy-efficient systems from the interrelated
fields of lighting, electrical engineering and house and building automation.
Messe Frankfurt expects around 150 companies to exhibit in the field of
house and building automation. Located in Hall 9, they will present future
oriented solutions for house and building automation, facility management and
contracting. Among the reputed exhibitors will be Honeywell, Johnson, Moeller,
Sauter and Schneider Electric. Additionally, in Hall 9.0, the joint stand of
the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Trade will include a
special exhibition entitled "The Intelligent House of the Present" to
demonstrate what can be achieved using the modern building-system technology available
today.
 The
Building Performance Congress is being held in parallel with Light+Building
2008 and offers extensive opportunities for information and discussion. According to the organizers press release, at this time, the Messe
Frankfurt Congress Centre will be given over to specialist discussions on the
topics of lighting, energy consultancy and improving energy efficiency in
commercial buildings (IEECB). On Monday, 7 April there will be a presentation
on Sustainable Design: High Performance Buildings through Integrated
Daylighting, Electric Lighting and HVAC Design, and on Wednesday, 9 April
another will focus on Ground-source heat pumps for warming and cooling avoiding
the quality trap in spite of the boom. |
