MHI announces new President |

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) announced that Mr. Hideaki Omiya, currently an MHI
Representative Director and Senior Executive Vice President, was named the new
President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
The decision was made at the extraordinary meeting of the board of
directors, held on January 29, and he will assume the new position on April 1,
2008. Mr. Hideaki Omiya has an undergraduate
degree from the University of Tokyos School
of Engineering, which he
got in 1969. That same year he joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. From 2002
till 2007 he occupied several management positions at MHIs air conditioning
and refrigeration headquarters.
Mr. Kazuo Tsukuda, the current President of MHI, will become Chairman of
the company succeeding Mr. Takashi Nishioka, who will become MHI's Senior
Corporate Advisor, reveals the companys press release. |
