Ramón Vizcaíno, a leader in the
Spanish refrigeration technology market with a 20% market share, has signed a
contract with the Navarra Investment and Infrastructure Promotion Society, dependent
on the Government of Navarra, for the Ciudad Agroalimentaria de Tudelas cold
production project.
This contracts goal is the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance
of a centralized cold generation system for 10 years using CO2 technology, which
is environmentally friendly and highly energy efficient. The 5,589 kW
refrigeration capacity will allow for the future growth of Ciudad
Agroalimentaria de Tudelas facilities, a 120 hectare surface
area which will group manufacturing and auxiliary companies from the agrifood
industry. These will offer a wide range of infrastructures and services, such
as laboratories, machinery, maintenance, logistics, business centres, SME
incubators, hotel and restaurant management or tourism schools, among others.
The Ciudad Agroalimentaria will surelly become a national and
international technological reference to improve the competitiveness of the
sector and promote new generation agro-industrial products and processes. The contract
amounts to five million euro and the facility should be finished in the
beginning of 2008, reveals the companys press release. |
