Countdown to the 13th International Passive House Conference 2009 |

From 17th-18th April 2009, 100 speakers from around the world will
convene at the 13th International
Passive House Conference in Frankfurt am Main, to present and discuss new
trends, products and developments in energy-efficient building. This years
conference focuses on themes such as Public Buildings, Public Initiatives to
Promote the Passive House Standard, Refurbishment and Non-residential
Buildings. The conference will be opened on April 17th 2009 by the City of Frankfurts Mayor, Petra
Roth and by the Chairman of ABG Frankfurt Holding GmbH, Frank Junker.
Proven Passive House components include very high levels of thermal
insulation, highly efficient triple glazed windows, ventilation with heat
recovery and a simple but innovative heating system. These components combine
to achieve heating energy savings of around 90%, compared to average
consumption in existing residential buildings.
A wide range of Passive
House building components will also be shown at the Passive House Exhibition at
the Messe Frankfurt. Here exhibitors will present the latest systems and products
in energy-efficient construction at the leading Passive House trade show.
