Dyneon and Arkema sign a long-term agreement for the supply of HCFC22 in Europe PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 06 March 2009

arkemaDyneon, one of the world’s leading fluoropolymer producers, and Arkema, a world leader in fluorochemicals production, announced the signature of a long-term contract to supply HCFC22 (HydroChloroFluoroCarbon) to Dyneon in Burgkirchen (Germany). The HCFC22, a raw material used to produce TFE (TetraFluoroEthylene) used in applications requiring chemical resistance, high service temperature, low friction, and high purity, will be produced on Arkema’s Pierre-Bénite industrial site (France), from 2010.

According to Pierre Chanoine, Executive Vice President Performance Products, “this agreement is designed to provide Dyneon with long-term access to HCFC22 in Europe, and is a further illustration of Arkema’s long-term commitment to fluorochemicals”.

"For Dyneon the agreement with Arkema is a key cornerstone to secure our long term supply for one of our most important raw materials. With Arkema we found a partner, which helps us building a solid base for further sustainable growth", said Michael G.Peters, managing director of Dyneon GmbH.
