The Ministry
of Industry, Tourism and Trade has allotted through the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) to CCAA a total
of 280.8 million Euros to execute the measures and high-priority actions
contemplated in the Action Plan 2008-2012 of Saving and Energy Efficiency and
in the Renewable Energy Plan (PER) 2005-2010. The Renewable Energies Plan main
goal is to achieve at least 12% of the energy supply from renewable sources.
From the total funds, 252 million correspond to
saving measures, to which will be added 72.3 million from communities, and 28.8
million from renewable measurements. Besides these funds, there are also tax
incentives to the bio fuel production.
Along with this, the Government identified ten
high-priority measures to guarantee the implementation of the Plan all over Spain,
such as the energy rehabilitation in buildings envelopes, the improvement of the
energy efficiency of thermal facilities of the existing buildings, and the
improvement of the energy efficiency of existing buildings illumination, among
others.
