SWEP® International,
one of the world's leading suppliers of compact brazed heat exchangers (CBEs)
and related products and services, has become a founder member of the CO2 Alliance, which aims to
provide comprehensive and consistent information to help promote the use of
this safe, natural refrigerant.
Membership of the CO2 Alliance and particularly
founder membership is a clear signal to our customers that we take CO2
seriously, and that we are here with the heat exchangers required to exploit
this valuable refrigerant safely and efficiently, said Dave Gill, Manager of
SWEP Europe West Hub, who has been closely involved in the CO2 Alliances early
stages.
SWEP brazed heat exchangers
enable CO2 to be used safely and efficiently under the demanding physical
conditions required. According to Björn Felgenhauer, SWEP Technical Sales
Manager in Germany,
CO2 has many advantages, but it also presents us with some technical
challenges. The first result of our ongoing CO2 R&D came a couple of years
ago, with our B16-U CBE. It is already used in high-pressure transcritical CO2
applications. |
