In Climatización 2011 and ISH 2011 CAREL  introduces the new Power+ inverter designed specifically for high efficiency heat pumps, chillers and close control units, which also include compressors DC inverter generation (brushless BLDC/BLAC or with permanent magnets).

These new compressors that guarantee superior performance, when compared with traditional AC compressors, are manufactured mainly by Japanese and Korean manufacturers (Hitachi, Samsung, LG and Siam Compressor Industry, now a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Group) whith whoms Carel established important partnerships. Indeed, thanks to the development of special control algorithms adopted by these manufacturers of compressors, Carel allows the customer, OEM HVAC units, to reduce significantly setup times and operating safely.

The new Power+ inverter integrated into the new Carel system (pCOsistema+), reaches significant energy savings by modulating the compressor speed and, therefore, the capacity of the chiller. Load variations are handled accurately and continuously monitoring the envelope of the compressor. Thus potential significant increases of the machine’s COP are possible during operation at partial load, which are specified in seasonal efficiency higher values (Seasonal Performance Factor).
