International Congress of Refrigeration in Asia for the first time |

The 22nd International Congress of Refrigeration
will take place in Beijing,
China, from the
21st to the 26th of August 2007. The Congress, organized
by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration under the auspices of the
International Institute of Refrigeration, brings together the leading research
and practical development work related to all aspects of refrigeration and air
conditioning from all around the world, reveal the organizers of the event.
The
International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) is an intergovernmental
organization that brings together 61 countries representing 80% of the global
population, including China.
Its mission is to promote and disseminate knowledge of refrigeration technology
and all its applications, which explains the International Congress of
Refrigeration (ICR), held every four years.
This is the
first time ICR will be held in a developing country and the first time it will
take place in Asia. Experts and refrigeration
stakeholders from five continents will attend the congress and exchange
knowledge on the latest scientific and technological achievements. It will
feature over 800 papers and include input from key note presenters, short
courses and technical tours in China.
IIR Awards, including Gustav Lorentzen Medal, Science and Technology Medal and
IIR Young Researchers Awards, will also be issued during the Congress.
