An impressive
line-up of experts and leading authorities from across the refrigeration and
air-conditioning sector make up the prestigious Cooling Industry Awards 2007
judging panel. The Cooling Industry Awards, organised by the industry magazine,
RAC (Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning), identifies the best in the emerging wave of eco-friendly
technologies, services and solutions in the sector.
According to the organizer's press release, this years
judging panel comprises Robert Arthur (Head of Refrigeration, Marks &
Spencer), David Butler, (Senior Researcher, BRE), Judith Evans (Senior
Researcher, FRPERC, Bristol University), Graham Garner (Past Chairman, Eurovent
/ Cecomaff), Ray Gluckman (Former President, Institute of Refrigeration), Clare
Hanmer (Technology Manager, Carbon Trust), Guy Hundy (Past President, Institute
of Refrigeration), Rob Lamb, (Sales Director, Star Refrigeration), Terry Pride
(Former President of the British Refrigeration Association), Graeme Ogilvie
(Former Head of Refrigeration, ASDA), Mike Smith, (Engineering Manager, BSRIA)
and Terry Wyatt, (Past President, CIBSE).
The panel will
deliberate over a range of entries drawn from 12 categories, embracing Green
End-Users on large and small projects and specific Installations in the
retail and the commercial / industrial sector. It will also recognise the top
Environmental Pioneers in air conditioning and refrigeration, and celebrate
the best service innovation, training initiative and marketing campaign of the
year. The closing date for entries is
Friday 29th June 2007.
The awards
provide a national stage to stimulate developments in environmentally-friendly
cooling technology, highlighting the advances currently being made in this
important area, says Rowan Crowley, Event Director for the Cooling Industry
Awards. We have assembled a judging panel fit for this purpose, containing a
broad church of respected, well-informed people from across the industry
spectrum, each one an acknowledged expert in their field.
