The organizers of the 3rd IIR International
Conference on Ammonia Refrigeration Technology, which will be held on May
7th 9th, 2009, in
Ohrid, Republic
of Macedonia, recently
proposed to hold a seminar on Natural Refrigerants in Developing Countries.
Those interested can participate by
giving information on the possibilities of applications with natural
refrigerants in their countries, with questions and discussion. The Seminar
will be organized if at least 25 participants are provided and it is free of
charge for the registered participants of the conference. If you are
interested, send us an

as soon as possible in order to prepare the organization
of this Seminar, informed Risto Ciconkov, President of the Organizing
Committee.
As for the conference itself, the main topics include the design of modern
ammonia systems and technological innovation; energy efficiency of ammonia
refrigeration; applications of ammonia refrigeration; absorption machines; ammonia
systems in developing countries; technical and safety standards, guidelines,
instructions and training materials; public awareness of the image and benefits
of natural refrigerants. Also, according to the organizers press release there
will be presentations by Anders Linborg (Sweden, Ammonia Partnership AB) on "Risk
analysis in ammonia refrigeration", Dr Predrag Hrnjak (USA, University of
Illinois) on "Charge minimization in small systems opportunity for
expanding use of ammonia as refrigerant", Dr Andy Pearson (UK, Star
Refrigeration) on "Making the case for heat pumps with Ammonia and Carbon
Dioxide" and Dr Nelson Mugabi (Japan, Mayekawa Mfg Co.) on "Ammonia
semihermetic compressor packages new products for the future". |
