CIATESA, a company specialising in the air conditioning sector, has appointed Roberto Recuerda as General Manager. Recuerda is replacing Aurelio García, who will be focusing his efforts on the presidency of the Management Board.

In fact, “the need to separate both positions” is the reason behind the company’s organizational changes. These, which are taking place one year and a half after CIATESA was incorporated into the French group CIAT, also affect the commercial management, whose new head of department is Ana García, reveals Elaireacondicionado.com. The new General Manager of the company, an industrial engineer from the University of Sevilla and a pioneer, as head of design, in air conditioning equipment for the maintenance of on the ground aircrafts, made a reference to the Spanish financial and real estate crisis, which affects the air conditioning market.

Among the main mesures to successfully overcome this adverse market situation, Roberto Recuerda highlights the enlargement of product ranges and markets, the access to market niches that are not affected by the construction situation in Spain and a bigger effort to improve even more the productivity and control expenses and risk. Also, Recuerda stated: “It is very important to continue with product, system or service development, research and innovation, as a means to contribute to the planet’s greater sustainability and as unique elements in an increasingly competitive and global market.”
