Goodman Global, a
manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products for
residential and light-commercial use, recently announced that it has named David
L. Swift the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodman and a member of
its Board of Directors. Swift, previously President of Whirlpool North America,
brings more than 20 years of experience in running diverse enterprises and will
report directly to the Board of Directors. Retiring President and CEO Chuck Carroll will remain as the
non-executive Chairman of the Board.
I
am very pleased to be joining Goodman's dynamic team at this important time in
the company's history, said Swift. Goodman
is uniquely positioned in the market. Underlying the company's outstanding
performance is a focused strategy and a best-in-class organization. I look
forward to building on the successes that Chuck has implemented and
capitalizing on the numerous growth opportunities for the business. Swift, a native
of Massachusetts earned a B.A. in mathematics and physics from Amherst College,
a M.S. in electronics engineering from Dartmouth College, and a M.B.A. from
Harvard University's Graduate School of Business, reveals the companys press
release.
Chuck Carroll, speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, added: We're
excited to welcome Dave to Goodman as President and CEO. He has an outstanding track record of leading and
managing diverse enterprises. Dave comes to us at a time when our business is
strong and growing -- we have a solid foundation and a tremendously talented
senior leadership team. With our sights set on the next level of growth and
opportunity, we've chosen to add to our strengths by bringing Dave to Goodman
as President and CEO. |
