From the 7th
until the 10th of May the food sector will return to the pavilions
at EXPONOR Oporto International Fair -, with Grupo ALIMENTAÇÃO. This
exhibition brings together, in a single arena, the best of what Portugal has to
offer in the field, exclusively for professionals.
EXPONOR will host
a wide range of exhibitions: ALIMENTAÇÃO (International Food Exhibition),
GOURMET (International Exhibition of Gourmet Products), ALITEC (Food Industry
Equipment Exhibition), HOTELMAQ (International Exhibition of Products and
Services for the Hotel and Catering Industry), EMBALAGEM (International Pack
and Packaging Exhibition), VINIPOR (Wine Exhibition) and ENOTÉCNICA (Oenology,
Wine-Making, Bottling and Packaging Exhibition). Each of the projects focuses
on a certain type of product, equipment or service, but all revolve around the
Food sector. They are parts of a whole which aims to attract prescribers,
decision-makers and those in charge of retail units, among others, Carla Maia
adds.
One of the main
events of the exhibition will be the seminar on The HORECA Channel and the New
Portuguese Context. An analysis of the new legislation; Future prospects. Organised
in partnership with EFRIARC - Portuguese Association of Industrial
Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers and Turismo de Portugal Coimbra
Hotel and Tourism
School, this initiative,
which will take up the whole of the 8th of May, shall include, among others, a presentation
by Gregório Laranjo, Chairman of the CTA-17 Regulatory Commission (Ventilation
in Professional Kitchens Standard). According to the organizers press release,
it will focus on the Smoking Ban Law, kitchen ventilation standards, thermal
regulations and food safety.
