ITT has introduced its next generation of Bell & Gossett ZoneTrol II zone pump controllers with optional outdoor reset control that makes them ideal for green building applications. Standard features include domestic hot water (DHW) priority timer, post purge function and pump exercise in an economical and user-friendly package. The new ZoneTrol II is a ready-to-install zone controller for hydronic circulators in residential and light commercial applications.

 

All ZoneTrol II controllers are UL and cUL listed and feature multi-function LED's that are visible without removing the cover for easy start-up and troubleshooting. All ten models are compatible with analog and digital 24 VAC thermostats, including "power stealing" designs. Four- and six-zone controllers are field expandable for up to 18 pumps and are available with integrated, pre-wired boiler reset or mix reset controllers. Units with reset controllers also include all of the necessary sensors. All ZoneTrol II controllers come with a standard five-year warranty.

 

Optional features for 4 and 6 zone controllers only include a pre-wired integral boiler reset controller. Reset controller cycles the burner to maintain the optimum system supply temperature relative to the outdoor air temperature. They also include a mixing reset for use on hydronic systems incorporating a variable speed injection pump. Mixing Reset controller varies the speed of the injection pump to maintain optimum radiant loop temperature relative to the outdoor air temperature. The boiler return temperature is also monitored to ensure that the appropriate minimum water temperature is not violated, reveals the company’s press release.
