The Administrative Board of the Serbian Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning accepted the offer of the company FILTER FRIGO from Belgrade to be the general patron of the 39th HVAC&R Congress, to be held in Belgrade on December 3rd - 5th,  2008. Also, the Italian company RHOSS has been accepted as the patron of the exhibition of HVAC&R equipment and accomplishments.

The main business activity of the company FILTER FRIGO includes the production and servicing of refrigeration equipment, but the company also offers complete engineering with design and consulting services regarding complete HVAC&R systems. FILTER FRIGO has been a sponsor of  congresses and co-publisher of the “KGH” journal for many years. RHOSS is a famous manufacturer of refrigeration equipment, which has been present on the Serbian market for many years. It was one of main sponsors and promoter of the 38th international congress on HVAC&R, held in Belgrade in December 2007, reveals the organizer’s press release.

The 39th HVAC&R Congress, organised by the Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning (KGH) of the Union of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (SMEITS), will be dedicated to the Centenary of the foundation of the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) in Paris in 1908, of which Serbia was one of the founders. Through its representative Serbia has participated in activities of the Executive Committee and all committees of this institution. The 39th HVAC&R Congress will encompass four IIR commissions:  B1- Thermodynamics and Transfer Processes (Heat and Mass), B2 - Refrigerating Equipment, E1 - Air-conditioning, and E2 - Heat Pumps and Energy Recovery. The congress organizer will  announce a competition for papers written on the topic of  “green buildings“, and the competition will  also be open for secondary school students and young scientists.
