Kensa
Engineering, a manufacturer of ground source heat pumps based in the UK,
has won the first prize for Product of the Year at the Housing Excellence
Awards 2009, an event that celebrates companies that make social housing work,
whether by constructing houses, running social housing schemes or developing
products and services that aid with housing issues. Kensa Engineering was
presented with the award at a prestigious ceremony in Manchester on the evening of the 13th May
2009 for their range of domestic compact heat pumps and the benefits that these
can bring to social housing schemes.
The demand for
renewable technologies continues to grow rapidly with ground source heat pumps
preferred for their high energy efficiencies which can deliver low carbon
emissions and considerable running cost savings for both residential and
commercial properties. The renewable technologies and the need to reduce the
incidence of fuel poverty for tenants as well as meeting current building
guidelines are generating significant interest in ground source heat pumps and
Kensas Domestic Compact Heat Pumps satisfy their needs exactly, says Simon
Lomax, Managing Director of Kensa Engineering.
