SWEP® International,
one of the world's leading suppliers of compact brazed heat exchangers (CBEs)
and related products and services, presented the DP300 CBE, a compact brazed
heat exchanger (CBE) with state-of-the-art asymmetric technology and a dual
evaporator for high-performance chillers using the environmentally preferred
refrigerant R410A.
According to the companys
press release, SWEPs innovative new technology, based on an asymmetric heat
exchanger design, increases the strength of the R410A channels, enabling the
thickness of the material to be reduced by 15%. Moreover, the narrower
refrigerant channels increase turbulence and reduce the hold-up volume by 30%,
contributing to the DP300s high performance. With this new technology, SWEP
can optimize customer applications for higher performance and
cost-effectiveness.
