SWEP new evaporator employs asymmetric technology PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 28 May 2009

SWEP® International, one of the world's leading suppliers of compact brazed heat exchangers swep(CBEs) and related products and services, presented the DP300 CBE, a compact brazed heat exchanger (CBE) with state-of-the-art asymmetric technology and a dual evaporator for high-performance chillers using the environmentally preferred refrigerant R410A.

According to the company’s press release, SWEP’s innovative new technology, based on an asymmetric heat exchanger design, increases the strength of the R410A channels, enabling the thickness of the material to be reduced by 15%. Moreover, the narrower refrigerant channels increase turbulence and reduce the hold-up volume by 30%, contributing to the DP300’s high performance. With this new technology, SWEP can optimize customer applications for higher performance and cost-effectiveness.
