For the first time, TROX has equipped a
heat storage module with PCM in the windowsill units. With Phase Change
Materials (PCM), used in latent heat storage systems and that use paraffin
graphite, the natural temperature differences between day and night can be used
to dissipate thermal charges without the need of a refrigeration machine.
According to TROX, one of the advantages of the
paraffin as a storage technology is its capacity to maintain the temperature
level of the room in four times superior than water capacity. Another advantage
is its compatibility with the environment, by being a biodegradable and
nontoxic substance.
