ASIT, the Association of Solar Thermal Industry, celebrates its Solar Thermal Energy Congress by the fourth consecutive year, which aims to boost the sector regarding the crisis that all renewables are suffering.

Jaume Margarit i Roset, Director of Renewable Energies of IDEA, is responsible for inaugurating the fourth edition of the congress, to be held in Room N 104 of Genera (IFEMA), on 20 May, explaining his vision on low temperature solar thermal energy in Spain. Then, Juan Fernandez San Jose, Chairman of ASIT, will give way to a debate on the situation of energy in Spain.

This year the theme of the conference will be the demand of a specific and equitable regulatory framework for thermal solar energy which will focus on issues such as energy services with solar thermal and solar air conditioning potential. In the second block of the Congress ASIT will propose stimulate the market with short-term measures to promote private investment under the new law, in preparation, of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in the context of the objectives to be met under the EU Directive 20/20/20.

The third group, moderated by Pascual Polo, General Secretary of the Association, is dedicated to ASIT technical proposals to be presented about the progress in ASIT Guide and the software that results of IDEA-ASIT Convention for the elaboration of an Calculation Program for Verification of the contribution of EST in the HE4 of the CTE.
