IBC SOLAR, specialist in photovoltaics, asked the Ministry of Industry not to give back to the sun and show a real way to support renewable energies. For this to happen, it must be immediately and unequivocally implanted a new, stable and long-term vision regulatory framework that restores confidence in this sector.
Thus, the company adds itself to the claim that in recent months has been made by sector associations in order to find the best solution for the future Spanish energy model through 2011-2020 Renewable Energy Plan, and a new 1578/2008 Royal Decree to replace and eliminate the uncertainty that is subtracted from Spain credibility as an attractive country for foreign investment markets.
"It is essential that the Government give the final green light to a new regulatory framework that recognizes renewable energy, and especially solar energy, a significant contribution to the national energy mix. Whereas fossil fuel reserves are limited and scarce, solar energy helps to preserve them and reduce drastically the current Spanish dependence on external energy supply. They also allow to substantially reducing emissions of carbon dioxide", says Jose Maria Llopis, CEO of IBC SOLAR in Spain. |
