Wednesday, 11 May 2011

Nominations are now open for the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) Industry Awards for 2012. The awards recognise excellence in Australia’s HVAC, refrigeration and building services industries across a range of areas including:

  • ARBS Young Achiever Award for 2012
  • Outstanding Service and Maintenance Provider for 2012
  • ARBS Product Excellence Award 2012
  • HVAC Project Excellence Award 2012
  • Refrigeration Project Excellence Award 2012
  • Outstanding Industry Education/Training Award 2012

The awards, inaugurated at the ARBS 2010 exhibition, attract nominees from across the industry, including members of the major industry associations: the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH), the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA), the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association (AREMA), the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) and the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Wholesalers Association (ARWA).

“The strong participation of all players across the industry was a hallmark of last year’s awards,” said Sue Falcke, ARBS Events Organiser. “We look forward to a similarly enthusiastic response to this year’s call for nominations. The Awards are an opportunity to recognise the expertise and success of individuals and companies across all sectors of the HVAC&R industry. It’s important that we identify, promote and congratulate the talent and vision that sustains our industry,” she said.

Judging is performed by a panel of industry experts, taking into account criteria such as talent, leadership, vision and innovation. The ARBS Hall of Fame, a popular category which celebrates industry leaders, recognising their service, contribution and commitment to furthering the industry, will return again with nominations coming directly from the industry associations..

Nominations close on Friday November 4, 2011, and award winners will be honoured at a gala dinner to be held during the ARBS 2012 exhibition, from 7-9 May 2012 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
