The International
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Forum FIRC 2007 took place
on October 10th 12th at the World Trade Center of Mexico City and it gathered
together many HVACR companies and specialists. Present in the event were such
entities as the National Refrigeration Industry Manufacturers Association (Asociación
Nacional de Fabricantes para la
Industria de la Refrigeración - ANFIR) and the Mexican Construction
Installations Companies Association (Asociación Mexicana de Empresas del Ramo
de Instalaciones para la
Construcción - AMERIC).
Participants where offered 18 conferences, 3 main conferences and 3 work panels,
which were presented by renown exhibitors and that helped solve their doubts
and gave them their support. There were also free technical seminars sponsored
by AMERIC on the following subjects: refrigeration good practices, cold-store
doors and R-22 alternative refrigerants. During the event this association presented
the National Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Technicians Professionalization
and Certification Programme, reveals the organizers press release.
José Aragon, Research Professor,
Metal-Mechanics Department, Orizaba Technological Institute, declared: We
needed this kind of forum in order to be able to interact with everybody in the
industry and to know what other institutions are doing to promote efficient air
conditioning and refrigeration equipment installation. On the other hand, António González, General Manager at Belimo,
said: I think its very good that different suppliers, manufacturers,
technicians and end-users were given the opportunity to participate, that
through seminars, panels and presentations everyone gives their opinion on the
subjects. During the trade fair some very interesting projects were presented,
innovations that integrate new technologies.
