The polyurethane sandwich panel industry has grown 18% in 2007 according
to a study released by APIPÑA, the Spanish Association of
Polyurethane Injected Panels Manufacturers, in its 17th General
Assembly, held in Madrid.
Furthermore, APIPÑA estimates that the polyurethane sandwich panel will
keep on growing in 2008. This is a key period for the sector and the goal of
the associations member companies is to lead it, reveals IPURs press release.
Indeed, 28 million sqm of panels were made in 2007 in Spain. In the
near future an increase in the use of this material is expected both in
industrial facilities, where it is currently already the leader, and in
commercial and residential buildings, where it is entering very quickly and
with unbeatable results thanks to its thermal, mechanic, fire reaction and
environmental respect characteristics. The new energy requirements of the
Building Technical Code have opened a new and wide range of applications in
house building and buildings rehabilitation.
The injected polyurethane sandwich panel is present in the construction
solutions market for more than 40 years now. Today it is still one of the most advanced
products and allows for a healthy economy, promoting comfort and social progress,
while protecting the environment.
