An
exciting attraction at this years RAC09
(NEC, Birmingham, 24-26 February 2009) will see leading industry wholesaler HRP
once again take a prominent role in the event with the daily HRP Skills
Challenge.
The
HRP Skills Challenge will set out to assess the refrigeration and
air-conditioning knowledge of visitors as they pit their wits against their
peers in a special twenty question, twenty minute quiz. Promising to put the
practical skills and fault-finding expertise of participants under the
microscope, the HRP Skills Challenge will also test their understanding of key
legislative and health and safety requirements in a critical but entertaining
examination. Each day one refrigeration and air conditioning mastermind will
walk away with a bag of brand new equipment, specially selected by HRP. Prizes
will be kept under wraps until the day itself, when the name of the winner will
be revealed.
The
daily HRP Skills Challenge is a key part of programme for the RAC Service
Engineer Skills Centre, sponsored by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Consisting of
a series of 45-minute sessions over three days, the RAC Service Engineer Skills
Centre will be a unique, hands-on forum giving visitors the information and
advice they need to stay ahead of the technical, legislative and health and
safety topics that are central in the day-to-day work of RAC contractors and service engineers. The industry
experts leading the sessions will give live demonstrations and real-life filmed
examples whilst offering invaluable access to their experience. There will also
be a chance to ask questions either during presentations or afterwards. Attendance
to the Service Engineer Skills Centre or involvement in the HRP Skills
Challenge is free and open for all visitors, reveals the organizers press
release.
