Saunier Duval has participated as a speaker and as a sponsor in the
first edition of GeoEner, Building and Industrial Geothermal Energy Congress, recently
celebrated in Madrid.
It has welcomed approximately 400 guests, mostly specialist technicians in
renewable energies and energy efficiency.
Victor Galarza, Product Manager, Energy Efficiency Services, Saunier
Duval, offered a presentation on Built-in energy efficiency systems for
single-family households, a global building HVAC concept which also considers
the design of the building (bioclimatic architecture) in order to achieve
comfort and energy savings, with a remarkable reduction of CO2 emissions. According
to Galarza, now the user can install energy efficiency built-in systems,
including not only equipment but also other services, such as, for exemple, the
commissioning and preventive maintenance of the installation, which ensure the
optimal operation of the system. Naturally, he warns, one must take into
account the correct installation of the equipment.
One of these systems, adds the speaker, is the one that integrates two
highly energy efficiency solutions: ground source heat pumps and radiant floors
(heating and refrigeration). And he states that this system takes advantage in
an optimal way of both the thermal inertia of the outside grounds (geothermal
energy accumulated on the planets surface) and the thermal inertia of the
household (accumulated energy on the floor, walls, ceiling,
), minimizing the
effects of external factors that change the temperature inside the house during
the winter or summer. He finally concludes by remembering that a ground
source heat pump supplies us with domestic hot water all through the year, reveals
the companys press release.
