SMACNA announces new Executive Committee for 2008-2009 term |

The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) Board of Directors
installed its Executive Committee to serve from October 23rd, 2008, to October
14th, 2009.
John Ilten was elected to
serve as president. His term in office began at the close of SMACNAs 65th
Annual Convention. This year, I will
have the honor to shepherd SMACNAs strategic planning process to focus our
products, services, and industry involvement to make my fellow contractors and
SMACNA even greater leaders in this industry, he said. In 1997, he was
recognized as SMACNA Legislative Contractor of the Year for exceptional effort
and leadership in legislative action.

Richard
Rivera, President and CEO of Key Air Conditioning Contractors, was elected to
serve as Vice President. He has been on the Board of Directors for four years
now and is a trustee for the International Training Institute. Rivera is also a past president of the SMACNA-Los Angeles Chapter,
besides being active in his local American Society of Heating, Refrigerating
and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and Building Officials and Code
Administrators International (BOCA) chapters. The other members of SMACNAs
Executive Committee include James Boone (Secretary-Treasurer), John Lindemulder
(President-Elect) and Ron Palmerick (Immediate Past President), reveals the
