TROX España has recently participated in the II Conference On
Acoustics In Air Installations (AINAIR), which took place last
Thursday, November 6th, at the North Hall of IFEMAs Fair Grounds in Madrid,
and which had the colaboration of such associations as ATECYR, AECOR, the
Spanish Acoustics Society, besides Madrids Official Engineers Association, the
University of Zaragoza and the Ministry of Housing.
Under the subject Acoustics in Air Installations, A Matter of Design,
AINAIR 2008 was able to bring together more than 500 industry professionals
interested in broadening their knowlwdge on the latest trends, solutions and
regulations. The conference stood out for the quality of its interventions and
presentations. Antonio Vegas, Honorary Director of TROX Academy, was in charge
of presenting a paper on air diffusion, acoustics and comfort of the leading
brand in the air diffusion and distribution market. Antonio Vegas highlighted
the need to take into account the criteria for acoustic comfort while the
project is being developed in order to avoid complicated situations when the
installation is commissioned.
Interesting and practical acoustics concepts were recalled, such as the
influence of the orientation of air outlets, selection of diffusion elements
according to the regenerated acoustic power and acceptable acoustic levels by
type of places. The new requirements of the Building Technical Codes DB-HR document
were also mentioned. According to the companys press release, this
presentation together with the ones from the rest of the speakers, focusing on
other systems such as energy generation groups, piping networks, acoustic
shielding, the elimination of vibration and acoustic studies and validations, covered
almost all of the acoustic issues linked with air condicioning installations.
