The Council of Economy and Tresury, through its Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines and the Energy Agency of the Regional Government of Madrid, organizes the first edition of the Congress of Distributed Generation GENEDIS, to be held on November 24-25 2009 at the Municipal Palace of Congresses in Madrid.

The Congress will bring together the major world leaders in energy and will present and discuss 63 papers with topics as diverse as cogeneration and micro cogeneration, waste management, district heating and cooling, renewable energies in buildings, energy storage systems, interconnection networks, among others.

In addition, GENEDIS aims to be a forum for discussion and exhibition of distributed generation, reviewing its many technologies, applications and related systems, the various factors influencing its development and its possible future trends.
