Spectronics, the premier manufacturer and supplier of ultraviolet dyes and inspection lamps to the automotive, HVAC/R and industrial markets, has unveiled its new Spectroline® OPK-300BEZ/E leak detection kit to locate all refrigerant leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, on the first inspection. The star of this kit is the BigEZ dye injector assembly, which allows technicians to add the exact amount of fluorescent dye to HVAC/R systems.
The co-star of this kit is the OPTIMAX 3000 cordless, rechargeable leak detection flashlight that is 15 times brighter than standard LED lights, according to Spectronics press release. Its power is comparable to super-high intensity 150W lamps and it has an inspection range of up to 20 feet (6.1 m). Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, the unit has a 50,000-hour bulb life.
The kit also contains AC and DC battery chargers, an 8 oz (236 ml) spray bottle of GLO-AWAY dye cleaner, a BEZ-25 hose assembly with check valve and low-loss fitting and fluorescence-enhancing glasses. |
