TROX recently announced the optimization of its chilled beams DID312 and DID-E series. The series type DID312 is a further development of the proven Type DID300, whose production will be discontinued within the course of 2010 and it also includes a vertically mounted heat exchanger with condensate drip tray which enables very high cooling capacities even in case of low feed flow temperatures.
With Types DID312 and DID-E active chilled beams, the technology of these devices has been decisively further developed by TROX. The active chilled beams combine several advantages at once, such as a high cooling capacity at a low outdoor air or primary air volume flow rate, heating and/or cooling modes and a particularly low sound power level, among others.
According to TROX, the active chilled beams have long been indispensable in ventilation concepts for rooms with high cooling loads. In addition, as a part of air-water systems, they guarantee not only comfortable air conditioning, but they also optimally use the advantages of water as a medium for load dissipation.
