Spectronics Corporation has introduced the new Spectroline^® OPD-500 Dual Max™ - a cordless, multi-function, dual-headed LED flashlight that is ideal for refrigerant leak detection in all types of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

The powerful OPD-500 features a high-flux blue light LED on one end for fluorescent leak detection, plus a high-flux white light LED on the opposite end for general component inspection.  Its power equals that of a 75W lamp, and it has an inspection range of up to 6 ft (1.8 m) or more. 

The OPD-500 is extremely compact and lightweight, weighing just 5.8 oz (164 g). The lamp head and body length measure a mere 1⅛ x 6 in (2.9 x 15.2 cm), allowing it to get into cramped areas that are inaccessible to larger lamps. 

Powered by three “AAA” batteries (included), the lamp has an LED life of 100,000 hours.  Just a push of a button turns on the lamp instantly at full power.  Fluorescence-enhancing glasses for use with the blue light LED are included to make all refrigerant leaks glow brightly.
