CAREL has upgraded its range of active sensors so as to offer increasingly evolved and global solutions to the HVACR market. The new probes have been designed for residential/office environments, for the management of heating systems, air handling units or close control units.

According to the company’s press release, compared to the previous range, they offer greater precision, a more extended temperature range, and all the versatility that the market requires. All models are compatible with CAREL and third party controllers. A new serial sensor has been made with RS485 connection using the CAREL or ModBus communication protocol and the series of probes for industrial environments and ducts comes with a new case that no longer requires a tool to open.

The serial version allows multiple probes to be connected over the same RS485 channel: this means significant savings in installation costs, a reduction in the connections required and simplification of the wiring, with up to 32 probes that can be connected together.
