CIBSE offers free Display Energy Certificates at carbon reduction campaign |

From April 6th,
2008 many public buildings will need to display a Display Energy Certificates (DEC)
in a prominent place clearly visible to the public, showing the energy
performance of the building based on actual energy consumption.

participants in the 100 Days of Carbon
Clean Up Campaign will receive free DECs, ahead of this requirement for
public sector occupiers of larger buildings.
The campaign, running from
September 12th to December 20th and whose aim is to help
participants realize the carbon saving potential of their workplace,
encouraging staff behavioural changes and managerial initiatives to reduce
carbon emissions from their buildings, is run by the Chartered Institution of
Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and
sponsored by E.ON, the UKs largest integrated energy company.
E.ONs
involvement also brings on board round the world yachtswoman Dame Ellen
MacArthur who will be the campaign champion, reveals the organizations press
