Expoenergética, which will take place on November 19th - 21^st at Fira de Valencia, aims at becoming one of the first environmentally neutral event held in Spain. The agreement between the organisation of the fair, Five Continents, and Zeroemissions will allow to carry out an inventory of all direct and indirect sources of emissions of greenhouse effect gases for their subsequent neutralisation. According to the event organizers’ press release, both the exhibiting companies, which are more than 100, and the visitors will be able to actively contribute with this environmental initiative, by buying carbon credits which prevent or reduce the CO2 emissions somewhere else around the world. Some world events which have previously erased their carbon footprint are the World Football Cup held in Germany in 2006 or the G8 summit in Gleneagles, United Kingdom.
