
The Colombian Air Conditioning and
Refrigeration Association (ACAIRE) announced the fourth edition of the national engineering (mechanical
or others) thesis competition, sponsored by Aire Caribe. Registrations are open
until July 18th, 2009, and the award ceremony will take place on
August 20th of the same year.
The goal is to maintain the
commitment of the three previous editions of the Contest, to stimulate and
promote the development of academic work on HVACR in the engineering faculties of
Colombian higher education institutions through the recognition of its students
thesis. Competing thesis must have been presented in 2007, 2008 and 2009, carried
out for a degree in engineering by undergraduate students who are Colombian
citizens, in universities of the Republic
of Colombia, and be
presented through their respective university.
The firts prize includes, for the student, a plate
and 2,000,000 colombian pesos (approximately 850 dollars), free attendance to
ACAIREs training sessions for a year, one year free membership in ACAIRE, and
the publication and dissemination of the thesis in ACAIREs magazine and portal.
The project manager will also be entitled to free attendance of ACAIREs
training sessions for a year, reveals the associations press release.
