As the worlds second largest fluorochemicals
producer, Arkema will be exhibiting, on Stand
1-212 of Hall 1, at the very first edition of Chillventa, an international
tradeshow for suppliers to the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump
industries, to be held in Nurenberg on October 15th 17th,
2008. For Arkema, Chillventa 2008 will be an opportunity to reiterate its
commitment to helping its customers anticipate the tightening-up of
environmental standards.
In 2005, Arkema decided to anticipate the context of
the 2000 European regulations banning HCFC
refrigerant fluids from January 1st 2010 by being one of the first
players to market an HFC blend, Forane 427 A, for the retrofitting of existing
refrigeration equipment. In July this year, in
anticipation of European Directive 2006/40/CE, Arkema was the first
manufacturer to announce its intention to invest in Europe into the production
of a new fluorinated gas with a low global warming potential designed to
replace gradually, from 2011, the HFC 134a gas currently used in automotive
air-conditioning circuits, reveals the companys press release. |
