This year's Interbuild (October 26th - 30th, 2008) will host a complete programme of seminars and demos. With something for every conceivable building and professional trade, the show promises to bring you an unprecedented variety of attractions designed to arm even the most informed visitor with new insights.

InterbuildThe finalist and winners of the Interbuild Eco Product Awards will be showcased in front of visitors and press as part of a dedicated ceremony at the show on Monday, 27th October, Hall 5. This years entries included Formaster’s Electric Instantaneous Water Heater “DAFI”, Marmox’s CosyStone Heater Panel, Mitsubishi Electric’s Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump and The Electric Heating Company’s Solar E10 Electric Combi. One of the finalists is Ecological Building Systems, a UK supplier of sealing solutions which contribute to an energy efficent healthy living environment, for Thermo Hemp, a healthy natural insulation which combines high thermal performance with effective acoustic properties. It can, among other things, reduce overheating in summer months in attic spaces.

Interbuild will also feature seminars, presentations and debates. For example, BRE (Hall 5) will be offering a presentation on the Green Guide to specification and environmental profiles for construction products and will host the “Putting a price on sustainability” seminar, looking at building regulations and how sustainability can be achieved at little or no additional cost. On the other hand, at the Voltimum Centre (Hall 4) there will be talks given by such companies as Elkay, Legrand, Nexans, OSRAM, Vent-Axia and Weidmuller on a range of topics including designing and installing smart systems in the modern home, low carbon ventilation, energy efficient lighting solutions, benefits and advantages of floor warming and building ethernet solutions, reveals the organizer’s press release.
