Daikin Europe recently announced
the launching of the new EWYD-BZ inverter units, a new addition to the Heat
Pump Inverter series available in two versions standard noise and low noise (6.5
dBA reduction) with an
extensive capacity range (cooling capacity from 250
to 580 kW) designed for a variety of commercial applications. The innovative units use inverter-driven
single screw compressors, resulting in considerable savings in annual energy costs in both heating and cooling operations.
According to the companys press
release, compared to a
traditional heat pump and gas boiler system Daikins extended EWYD-BZ
series can fully match a buildings thermal load, even in
ambient temperatures down to -12oC.
The new
series uses R-134a
refrigerant, the most efficient and environmentally-friendly refrigerant for
screw compressors on the market and are ideal for commercial comfort cooling and/or
heating applications in office buildings, shop complexes, hotels, etc.
Available in thirteen sizes between 250-580 kW, the units can be combined to
efficiently serve even the largest applications.
