After nine years of
successful activity as Director General of the European manufacturers
association EPEE, the European
Partnership for Energy and the Environment, Friedrich P. Busch retired on the 1st
of October to his successor Andrea Voigt.
Mr. Busch has been EPEEs
Director General since its foundation in 2000 and focused his efforts on
turning the association into one of the most important references in the refrigeration
and air conditioning industry when it comes to representing the interests of
the sector in Brussels.
EPEE was founded nearly 10
years ago, at the time of the CFC phase-out: an exciting moment and a big
challenge for our sector, said Mr. Busch recalling the start of the EPEEs
activities. Since then, times have changed and consequently, EPEEs field of
action has broadened: RoHS and WEEE Directives, eco design and eco labeling are
only some examples where we are currently active.
EPEE is a strong,
international association combining competent representatives of numerous
sectors of our industry. I look forward to working with these people and will
be fully committed to fight for the interests of our industry says Andrea
Voigt who has been in the industry for some 15 years.
