IFEMA has agreed to postpone the fifth edition of the Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Show, HOREQ, which would have taken place on 18-20 November 2009, after taking into consideration the general feeling within the industry and evaluating the complex situation which is currently affecting this sector. For this reason, the HOREQ organising committee has decided to postpone the event to 2011, in the hope of an improved climate to meet the commercial expectations of professionals from the hotel and restaurant industry.

With this decision, which was taken jointly with professionals involved in the show, it is hoped that by 2011 the hotel and restaurant market will have recovered and that the backdrop will have improved to ensure that the event can go ahead with solid presence, thus ensuring that HOREQ takes place with the best possible commercial outlook.

As a result, HOREQ will focus its efforts on the next edition; with the goal of ensuring that the Show is once again a top class business platform for presenting its products, completing transactions and presenting the latest trends within this important economic segment.
