Huurre
Group Oy, parent of leading UK
contractor WR Refrigeration, has formed a
joint venture with Europes foremost carbon
dioxide-based retail refrigeration specialist, Enex Srl. The joint venture, called Huurre
ECO, brings together the expertise of Enex in the field of carbon dioxide
cooling with Huurres resources and market strength, to create a new European
force in environmentally aware refrigeration.
According to the companys press release,
this new joint venture will give WR Refrigeration direct access to the
extensive experience of Enex, further strengthening its position as a leader in
the design and supply of environmentally friendlier solutions to the UK market. At
the same time, Huurre ECO will provide a specialist consulting and design
service for environmentally friendlier refrigeration, with Huurre Group
companies installing and servicing the new generation of plants.
The launch of Huurre ECO is excellent
news for our customers in the UK,
many of whom are looking for proven carbon dioxide-based solutions. Through us
they now have unique access to the deep experience of the leading pioneer in
the field, said Hugh Cole, managing director of WR Refrigeration. We believe
that demand for CO2 systems will grow significantly, particularly in the retail
and food storage sector, as a result of rising concern over climate change and
the global warming potential of mainstream HFC refrigerants. It is a trend that
is already accelerating in the UK.
