CAREL introduces a new driver for electronic
expansion valves at ChillVenta (Hall 6, Booth 6-104). The new EVD EVOLUTION
driver is the most advanced and versatile solution for superheat control with
electronic expansion valves to achieve energy saving in the HVACR systems.
EVD
EVOLUTION indeed represents the evolution of the EVD 400 range, and consists of
a basic controller with LED signals plus optional backlit LCD with keypad,
available in different languages, with help on the parameters and installation
diagrams, useful as reference for installers. Special focus has been placed on
usability: EVD EVOLUTION offers a new extremely easy and user-friendly programming
method, making the expansion valve immediately operational. Using the auto
setup function for the control parameters, only four parameters need to be
configured: refrigerant, model of valve, type of pressure probe and
application.
Another detail making it user-friendly is the graphic LCD, allowing simple and
effective management of the operating parameters. The main system variables are
represented in graphic form, thus instantly displaying the status of the
system, a useful function above all during maintenance and commissioning. EVD
EVOLUTION is available in the convenient stand-alone version for refrigeration
units with compressor on board (for example, the display cabinets) and the
high-performance version, integrated with the CAREL pCO series and µC2
controllers for chillers and precision air-conditioning units.
For more effective integration, CAREL control systems are available with
the VPM commissioning tool (Visual Parameter Manager), commissioning and
monitoring software with parameter configuration wizard, Modbus protocol,
connection to the PlantVisorPRO supervisory system and the 1Tool software
development package for the complete programming of the pCO sistema series
controllers, reveals the companys press release.
