Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, recently introduced a new calculator tool to demonstrate to supermarket end-users the value of the new Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 compressor.

By adjusting the model parameters within the calculator to accurately reflect a store’s maintenance and refrigerant leak rates, supermarket end-users will be able to calculate the potential savings that Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 compressors will provide for their particular store. The tool will also help end-users determine their return on investment and accurately identify the precise point at which the associated savings will surpass the cost of the compressor itself, reveals the company’s press release.

“The new Intelligent Store Discus 2.0 compressors will address supermarket end-users’ core concerns by providing significant maintenance life cycle cost savings,” said Kurt Knapke, manager, supermarket and electronic programs, Emerson Climate Technologies, refrigeration division. “With this calculator, we are hoping to demonstrate these benefits to end-users early on. We want them to have a preview of the potential savings that would be possible relative to their individual operating conditions.”
