Fujitsu General announced it has developed a high efficiency DC inverter type "2-cylinder rotary compressor" (N-TF30ND) for middle and large size air conditioners (cooling capacity 8kW – 15kW) by own technology aiming to start internal production from October, 2009.

It is designed to optimize cylinder volume and cylinder diameter to maintain the high efficiency in the wide operating range from low speed to high speed taking future energy-saving regulations into consideration. Also, in order to make use of operating characteristics of DC motor to deal with load fluctuation, magnetic circuit is designed by utilizing magnetic field analysis technology for optimization. Thus, an energy efficiency improvement of 5% compared with equal class of compressors of competitors was achieved.

Also, the ratio of lubrication oil contained in the circulating refrigerant is cut by about 50% compared with equal class of competitors’ products. Thus, the loss of heat transmission is reduced and, at the same time, the long piping required for building and large-scale facility is designed to keep sufficient lubricating performance, reveals the company’s press release.
