Spinwave Systems, a leading developer of wireless building information networks, recently released its SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) gateway that offers datacenters a common communication standard connecting building management and IT systems, to monitor temperature, relative humidity and power.

According to Spinwave Systems, the SNMP gateway provides seamless integration to the SNMP-based tools that are already monitoring the datacenter network and can be extended to monitor the entire facility, providing at-a-glance knowledge of datacenter temperature and humidity levels, power consumption, cooling capacity, network usage and the status of the backup power systems that are critical to datacenter performance.
