AEE announces new venue for World Energy Congress 2008 |

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
recently announced the new venue of the World Energy Engineering Congress
(WEEC) for 2008 - the Gaylord National
Convention Center on the Potomac, Washington DC.
Now in its 31st year, the WEEC is well-recognized as the most important energy
event of national scope for end users and energy professional in all areas of
the energy field. It allows participants to see exactly how the economic and
market forces, new technologies, regulatory developments and industry trends
all merge to shape critical decisions on their organization's energy and
economic future, reveals the associations press release.
The WEEC features a large, multi-track conference agenda and a
comprehensive exposition of the market's most promising new technologies. There
is also a full line-up of seminars on a variety of current topics, such as renewable
and alternative energy, cogeneration, integrated building automation &
energy management, HVAC systems and controls, thermal storage and load
management, boilers and combustion controls. WEEC's
highly acclaimed GreenStreet expo showcase, introduced in 2007 and co-presented
by the U.S. EPA's ENERGY STAR, will again be a prominent part of the WEEC for
2008.
Other features for 2008 include a free technology workshops held in the
exhibit hall, and several free tours of local energy installations of interest.
Held in conjunction with the WEEC for the eighth consecutive year, GeoExchange
2008 is developed jointly by the Geothermal Heat Pump National &
International Initiative and the International Ground Source Heat Pump
Association, with support of the Association of Energy Engineers. The exhibits and concurrent conference cover all
aspects of geothermal heat pumps for use in commercial and institutional
buildings and industrial facilities.
