Armacell, a world leader in flexible foam insulation, offers its piping system for solar systems with new quality characteristics. Armaflex DuoSolar is now supplied with a new high-temperature insulation material which has a microcell structure, reveals the company’s press release.

 

The new foam is not only more dimensionally stable and easier to handle, it also has improved technical properties. Armaflex DuoSolar is more energy efficient than its predecessor due to a new thermal conductivity of 0°C = 0.038 [W/m∙K], which reduces the heat losses during transport from the solar panel to the hot-water storage tank effectively.

The structured foil covering, which is also new, is much more tear-proof and runs through wall pene­trations, ducts and suspended ceilings more smoothly.
