China International Auto Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Exhibition
(CIAAR), organized by
Shanghai Gehua Exhibition, was first held in 2003, aiming at providing a
professional business platform for the mobile A/C & refrigeration, a big
industry in China
which, at the time, was not served by a specific event. The following editions witnessed an increasing
number of exhibitors, which proves that the mobile A/C industry requires such
an exhibition as CIAAR, confirming its success.
In 2006 the organization committee welcomed 17,966 domestic visitors
from 24 provinces and 2,275 international visitors from the USA,
Argentina, Canada, Germany, France, England, Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, Egypt,
South Africa, Iran, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Australia, Japan and
South Korea. This year, the 5th edition
of CIAAR will be taking place at Shanghai Mart on November 7th - 9th. In order to
better serve the Asian auto A/C industry and after discussion with the Mobile
Air Conditioning Society (MACS), Shanghai Gehua Exhibition will invite Larry Turay, MACS expert, to present a training course on the first day of the exhibition.
According to the organizers press release, the theme of the seminar will be Recycling
and Service Procedures for the Containment of Mobile A/C System Refrigerants.
Founded in 1981, MACS is
the leading non-profit trade association for the mobile air conditioning,
heating and engine cooling system segment of the automotive aftermarket. Since 1991, MACS
has assisted more than 600,000 technicians to comply with 1990 U.S. EPA Clean
Air Act requirements for certification in refrigerant recovery and recycling to
protect the environment. Now MACS represent
a growing membership in North America and 47 countries around the world.
